First Essex was the first UK operator to place examples of Volvo’s Polish built 7900H integral single decker into service. Nineteen have been delivered for use on service 100 which links Chelmsford with the Lakeside shopping centre. A slightly modified version of the Group’s current livery is carried with green flashes to emphasis the new buses’ environmental credentials.

First’s Berkshire subsidiary has also received ten similar vehicles for use on services linking Maidenhead and Slough with Heathrow Airport.

Lothian Buses has placed its ten 7900H into service on route 1, with suitable branding, although the vehicles are also used on other routes, most notably service 41 on Sundays.
